What to see in Niederwichtrach
Wichtrach is a Swiss commune of the canton of Bern, located in the administrative district of Berntelland. It borders the north with the communes of Münsingen and Tägertschi, to the east with Häutligen and Oberdiessbach, to the south with Herbligen, Oppligen and Kiesen, and to the west with Jaberg and Gerzesee.
The commune is the result of the merger on January 1, 2004 of the communes of Niederwichtrach and Oberwichtrach. Until December 31, 2009 located in the Konolfingen district.
The Wichtrach shield has its origin from the Wichtrach family seal of the fourteenth century.
